After much begging, I managed to get a photopass for the Choice Music Awards last week. A debate broke out in State about Adrian Crowley (I’m not fimiliar with his music, found his performance dull and unmemorable, yes I know the award ward was for best album, but in this day and age live music is where the money is), but I personally felt CODES (opening the night with a bang), ASIWYFA (with an explosive performance), the Duckworth Lewis Method (with their mini comedy act) and, much to my surprise the Swell Season (Glen somehow kidnapped Leonard Choen’s guitarist from Spain) all put on far better performances. Anyhow, some pics below.

Finially got around to catching a CODES headline show in the Academy on Saturday night. Lads put on a fairly crazy light show, and excellent performance. Support was from the excellent Delays.

Next Friday (the 26th), a new showcase night is being launched in the Village, to promote up and coming acts (line up for the first gig includes The Rags, The Whiskey Limbs and Machine Gun Baby.
All the acts involved receive a prize for their dedication to the music industry (one of which includes a photoshoot with me!), so why not pop along?
